a heart turning on a spit, withering and weeping blood and suddenly that's it. just an open mouth and set of schemes where once there was a human being, thinking and feeling and calling his mom. there's a light blinking on the phone telling us we're hot and cold and made to be alone. even on the subway with our friends along, going anywhere but home. hopping parties while mom waits up. some people you can't trust, not as far as you can spit them standing in the rain. no one there to feel your pain. i found this in triplicate. in a well-appointed room that's cool and clean and well lit, don't bleed on the upholstery/run into the walls. so many problems left to solve. they're going to drink you dry.

this is not a drill. you've been dreaming but the kettle is ready to spill. boil your head. upset the meddling housewives. nobody hears my protests, setting the table for three. with how much it costs to breathe: take one in and let it out. let it out. i don't know what this is all about, but if i am in then this is out. it means everything when you offer to help me. cleanse your thoughts and kill all your weakness, because you're going to need every last pill, every trick up your shirtsleeves. i hate to change the subject, but your hair is on fire. oh, what to do with me?
